Welcome to NWIHSC

The Coalition was founded to provide cost effective training to the Northwest Tribes. It is our goal to provide an opportunity for program staff to gather together to learn, share, and network our knowledge to enhance our skills, thus benefiting our children.

It is through our rich culture and traditions that our children are provided an opportunity to learn and grow into strong, healthy future leaders.

NWIHSC Background

The National Indian Head Start Directors Association, Southwest Consortium of Indian Head Start Programs, Inc., and Northwest Indian Head Start Coalition have been very active in advocating on behalf of Indian Haed Start programs, young children and their families for two decades. This partnership serves as the only large base groups for articulating the wants, needs, concern and issues of Indian Head Start programs. The three entities will continue collaborative efforts on behalf of young Indian children, their families and staff.
